Everton have unveiled an eye-catching new fan engagement installation at their newly opened Hill Dickinson Stadium, designed to celebrate the club’s rich history, the city’s maritime heritage and the bond supporters share with both.

The project, called “The Dock Lines”, will see thousands of personalised granite stones laid in a striking layout across the Budweiser Plaza outside the stadium, giving Evertonians from around the world a chance to leave a permanent mark at the waterfront ground.

The feature is inspired by Liverpool’s historic docklands and includes restored railway tracks that once carried goods through the city, blending local heritage with Everton’s new home.

Supporters will be able to purchase engraved stones to commemorate friends, family members or personal milestones, making it a living tribute to the fanbase’s connection with the club.

What Everton supporters can expect from “The Dock Lines” initiative

Set within the beautifully repurposed dockside track area near Regent Road, The Dock Lines installation is positioned to become one of the stadium’s most talked-about features.

Club officials say it will symbolise how the past and future of Everton are forever intertwined, reflecting both the city’s blue-collar roots and the passion of supporters who have followed the club through thick and thin.

The stones, ranging in size and design, will be laid over roughly 400 square metres of space, creating a vast mosaic that fans can visit on matchdays and beyond.

Supporters can buy stones now through the official Everton Dock Lines portal, with prices starting from around £49 and the premium going for  £499, and there are also options for replica stones and certificates that celebrate individual contributions.

Club representatives have emphasised that this initiative is a lasting tribute connecting supporters’ personal stories with the new stadium itself.

The design draws on historic patterns and iconography, notably referencing the Archibald Leitch truss pattern that was a beloved feature at Goodison Park, ensuring continuity with Everton’s architectural and emotional heritage.

The initiative is another way the club seeks to strengthen community ties and matchday atmosphere by creating permanent fan spaces that act as gathering points even outside of fixtures.

Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton’s new 52,769-capacity waterfront ground, has already hosted successful events and showcases since its opening, and this project further enhances the sense of place for Evertonians.

FGG Says

Everton’s Dock Lines initiative is a heartfelt attempt to weave supporters’ stories into the physical soul of Hill Dickinson Stadium. In an era when fan identity can feel diluted amid corporate sponsorship and globalisation, giving supporters a tangible presence in the stadium’s landscape is profoundly meaningful.

Projects like this recognise that football is not just about the 90 minutes on the pitch, but the generations of memories, family bonds and community pride that define a club’s legacy.
