Everton new stadium: Bramley-Moore Dock secures major five-year deal

Everton's new stadium has secured a contract with OCS, a facilities management specialist, to provide integrated facilities management services at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton recently purchased the 52,888-capacity arena in Liverpool Waters and is on track to kick off the 2025/26 football season at its new home. Earlier this month, Everton announced plans for two test events at the stadium, featuring matches with the under-18 and under-21 teams, which will be played in front of thousands of spectators.

OCS, which currently serves around 8,000 clients in the UK, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East, has signed a five-year agreement to manage Everton Stadium's facilities, including waste management, cleaning, and security services.

Everton sign deal with OCS

Once fully operational, OCS will deploy up to 200 locally recruited staff to Everton Stadium for matchday and core operations. OCS will deliver a full Carbon Impact Assessment to the club and incorporate sustainable practices into the operation of the new stadium, aligning with Everton's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint. OCS will create ESG champion roles to ensure commitment to social value is met. OCS' ESG champions help deliver the business' commitments around social value, helping benefit local communities with a strong footprint based on recruitment, training and development.

Richard Kenyon, Everton's Chief Commercial and Communications Officer, stated, ‘OCS, as an official supplier for Everton Stadium, brings a large global client base and a strong track record in facilities management, making them an excellent partner. From our initial meetings, it was clear that they are not only committed to the highest standards but are also eager to make a significant impact in our community. This commitment is reflected in the promises they have made to support Everton in the Community over the duration of the agreement. ‘We are excited to collaborate with OCS to bring these community initiatives to life in the coming years and to enhance exceptional fan and visitor experiences in our new home.'

Bruce McDonnell, Managing Director of OCS’s private sector division, added, ‘We have streamlined operations in some of the most iconic football stadiums in the UK and have a proven track record in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of fans, players, and staff alike.'

Although it has not been the most interesting story to come out of Bramley-Moore Dock lately, it is an important step forward. The deal secures Everton fans' matchday experience and ensures employment for over 200 new staff.
