Everton new stadium: First set of test events announced ahead of new season

The first set of test events at Everton's new stadium, Bramley-Moore Dock, has been announced, and supporters are expected to attend.

With 2025 now here and Everton's ownership of the new stadium in full swing, the first set of test events is underway. Three events are planned in this first phase, and the first two are confirmed. Fans can attend both of the first two events.

While the capacity is reduced, these events are required for the club to gain the necessary safety certificates to operate the stadium at full capacity for the 2025/26 season.

Everton's new stadium youth friendlies announced

Events will kick off on 17 February, with Everton Under-18 friendly fixtures being played in front of 10,000 spectators. This will then be followed up with an Under-21 friendly, this time at a higher 25,000 capacity. Tickets for both events will be done via a ballot and will open at 10am on 3 January and run until 11:59 on 10 January. These ballots will be open to a limited set of fans as follows:

  • Existing Season Ticket Members
  • Existing Goodison Park Hospitality Members
  • Supporters who have committed to a 2025/26 Premium Bars, Restaurants and Experiences Membership
  • Everton shareholders

There is one final event which will happen before the end of the season. However, for now, details are not yet public, we suspect, because the club needs to obtain the licences first before they can make any sort of announcements.

Ballot in place

Eligible supporters can apply for one or both test events, either individually or in groups of up to six. Each supporter can only enter the ballot once. Successful applicants will not choose their seats but can indicate two preferred areas; seating will be allocated based on availability.

Supporters with accessibility needs should fill out a separate form available from 3 January. The ballot for the first test event will be held the week of 13 January, and email notifications will be sent. Those who win the first ballot will not be eligible for the second, which will be drawn the week of 20 January. Unsuccessful applicants for both events will receive guaranteed tickets for a third test event.

Season Ticket waiting list members and 2024/25 Official Members who are eligible can also access tickets for the third event. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions, and they will be issued digitally. Resale or ticket transfer is not allowed. Tickets will be allocated in the South Stand for the first event, with more options for the second. Further details on parking and catering will be provided closer to the event.

FGG says: Everton new stadium almost a reality

It's starting to get close for Everton fans, and these first test events will make that a reality. Those lucky enough to attend will get the chance to attend one of the very first events at the new stadium, which is a special event. I remember when my school was invited to one of the last events at the old Wembley stadium as part of a push to create memeories for young kids outside of London. It was a great experience, and for Everton fans, this is a unique opportunity to attend the new stadium well ahead of the new season.
