Around 5,000 FC St. Pauli fans attended a march ahead of their 2.Bundesliga home match against VfL Osnabrück. A draw against Osnabrück would secure FC St. Pauli’s place in the top flight of German football.
13 years out of the top flight
Kiezkicker fans were in party mood ahead of Sunday’s match at the Millerntor-Stadion. They have been out of the Bundesliga since 2011, but a point at their home ground would secure a long-awaited return. Fabian Hürzeler’s side started the match well, thanks to a goal in the seventh minute by Dapo Afolayan, and they went in at half-time 1-0 up.
