Fresh images from the Vitality Stadium have offered AFC Bournemouth supporters an exciting glimpse at the early stages of the club's long-awaited redevelopment project.
With European football on the horizon and planning permission now secured, visible construction work is already beginning to reshape areas around the stadium as the Cherries prepare for one of the biggest seasons in their history.
Vitality Stadium revamp well underway ahead of historic European campaign
Bournemouth's ambitious plans to transform the Premier League's smallest stadium took a major step forward after councillors unanimously approved proposals to increase capacity from around 11,300 to more than 20,000.
The redevelopment will see the South Stand demolished and rebuilt, while the North and East Stands will be expanded and corners infilled to create more than 9,000 additional seats.
New hospitality areas, fan zones, turnstiles, refreshment kiosks, media facilities and a revamped ticket office will also form part of the project.
The latest images show steelwork already rising outside the stadium, with construction compounds and work areas firmly established as preparations continue ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Club president of business Jim Frevola previously described the project as essential if Bournemouth are to remain competitive, particularly with European football now a reality on the south coast.
FGG says: A first real glimpse into Bournemouth's future
For many supporters who haven't visited the Vitality Stadium since the end of the season, these images provide the clearest indication yet that the redevelopment is finally becoming a reality.
While there is still a long way to go, seeing steelwork in place and construction activity underway helps bring the scale of the project to life in a way plans and artist impressions never quite can.
With Bournemouth preparing for a historic first European campaign, the timing feels fitting. The club is growing rapidly on the pitch, and these early images show its stadium is finally beginning to catch up.
