Fresh Wrexham footage shows latest Racecourse Ground expansion progress with new season underway

Wrexham's Racecourse Ground expansion project continues to move forward, with more structural materials now arriving on site.

Fresh drone footage has provided another glimpse of the progress being made as the club prepares for the 2026/27 season and the eventual return of a four-sided stadium.

How the Kop Stand is looking with the 2026/27 season back underway

The latest footage filmed over the weekend shows the current state of the Kop Stand redevelopment, although there was no active construction work taking place when the drone footage was captured.

Large new steel sections have arrived on site, with the creator suggesting they could form part of the huge bow-shaped beam which will sit towards the front of the new stand.

Further progress can also be seen across the concrete terracing sections, while taller temporary supports have been installed to hold elements of the structure in place as construction continues.

The Kop redevelopment remains one of the biggest projects in Wrexham's ongoing transformation, with the new stand set to restore the Racecourse Ground to a four-sided configuration and significantly increase its capacity.

The footage also provides another look at the pitch, which remains in excellent condition as Wrexham head into a new Championship campaign.

The latest steelwork and advancing terracing are making it increasingly easy to see how the finished Kop Stand will look at the Racecourse Ground.

There is still plenty of work to do, but every new section of the structure brings Wrexham closer to having a stadium that matches the scale of the club's remarkable rise.
