The Green Brigade were back in their usual place at Celtic Park for the first time in months on Saturday.
And their return quickly made its presence felt both in the stands and on the pitch.
Green Brigade unveil new banners after Celtic Park return vs St Mirren
Following the lifting of their six-game suspension, the Green Brigade returned to the North Curve during Celtic’s 1-0 win over St Mirren.
The group marked their comeback by unveiling a banner featuring a quote from Bobby Sands, which read: “Everyone has their own particular part to play.”
They also displayed a separate banner after the final whistle, criticising the Celtic board and branding them “unfit for purpose”.
Despite their absence from their usual section since November, the Green Brigade had continued to attend matches home and away during the ban.
Their return meant the standing section at Celtic Park was back at full capacity for the first time in around six months.
Bhoys boss Martin O'Neill praised the impact of the atmosphere, admitting it helped his side through a difficult second half after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s early goal.
O’Neill said it “felt like a real Celtic Park atmosphere”, adding: “I thought the crowd were great to us, because they could easily have got irritated with some of the things we did.”

FGG says: Celtic Park simply felt different with them back
There will always be debate around some of the banners and messages the Green Brigade choose to display.
But purely in football terms, there is little doubt their return changed the feel inside Celtic Park.
The atmosphere was noticeably stronger and the team seemed to feed off it, with the opposition even admitting it made a difference.
After months of tension, Saturday was a reminder of just how important that section of the support can be to the overall matchday experience.
