Arsenal will start their 2025/26 Champions League campaign on Tuesday, 16 September, when they travel to the Basque Country to take on Athletic Bilbao.
It's far from an easy start for the Gunners, with Athletic Club currently considered the best team outside of the big three in La Liga. Last season, they finished fourth in the league table and made it to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
If you are an Arsenal fan looking to make the trip over to Bilbao for the match, then here is everything you need to know about getting Arsenal tickets for the match.

The primary option for all Arsenal fans will be to try and get into the away end at the Estadio de San Mames. Arsenal have been given an allocation of 2,544 tickets for the match, and these went on sale shortly after the league phase draw was made. The sales process was as follows:
- 11:00 05/09/25: Platinum, Gold & Travel Club Members with 25+ loyalty points.
- 13:00 05/09/25: Platinum, Gold & Travel Club Members with 15+ loyalty points.

- 10:00 09/09/25: Red members
With tickets going on sale to all Red members on Tuesday, 9 September, there are still opportunities for Arsenal fans to buy official away tickets through the club. All tickets in the Arsenal end for the match against Athletic Bilbao are priced at £43.45.
Home end
While it isn't advised, some Arsenal fans may try and take their chances at buying tickets in the home end at the Estadio de San Mames. Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, all general admission tickets in the home sections are sold out directly through Athletic Bilbao.
Hospitality
There are still some hospitality tickets available for the match between Athletic Bilbao and Arsenal. Specifically, Athletic Bilbao are advertising VIP tickets to all supporters for a fixed price of €450. These tickets allow supporters to choose their seat in the central ring of the stadium, with VIP seats available in all four stands.
On top of a prime seat location, VIP ticket holders gain access to an exclusive culinary service, are given early access to the stadium and are allowed to stay later, personalised attention throughout the match and complimentary screens to catch up on replays and match clips.
Alternative options
One final way to consider is to use third-party resale websites. These types of websites don't offer buyers the same level of protection as professional football clubs do, and they also charge over face value for tickets, but if you're desperate, then they are a way of getting into otherwise sold-out matches, such as this one.
We recently reviewed two of the biggest ticket resale websites to give FGG readers peace of mind before purchasing. You can take a look at them via the links below.
