As the group stage at World Cup 2026 approaches its dramatic conclusion, attention is turning to knockouts, with a number of mouth-watering clashes set to light up the round of 32.

All three co-host nations have extended their stay at the tournament, with Mexico being the first country to progress after three wins from three games in Group A – though it remains to be seen who they will face.

The United States will meet Bosnia-Herzegovina at Levi's Stadium on July 1, while Canada are set to lock horns with South Africa at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium on June 28, and the Netherlands are due to play Morocco at Estadio BBVA on June 29.

However, the pick of the bunch confirmed so far is Brazil vs. Japan at Houston's NRG Stadium on June 29: Carlo Ancelotti's Selecao are the favourites on paper, but Samurai Blue come into the clash having won seven of their last nine outings – a run that includes a 3-2 victory over the South American side back in October 2025 and zero defeats.

Here, as the knockout stages approach, Football Ground Guide covers all you need to know about how to watch World Cup 2026 in the USA, via both TV channels and streaming options.

How to watch World Cup 2026 live on TV in the USA

English:

The English language TV coverage of this summer's World Cup is divided between FOX and FS1 (one of FOX's cable sports channels).

The FOX channel will broadcast 70 games – including all matches from the round of 16 onwards – while FS1 offers the rest of the 34 fixtures.

FOX can be accessed using just a digital antenna, meaning that you will be able to catch the most important moments from the tournament for minimal cost.

Spanish:

The World Cup is also available on TV in Spanish through Telemundo and Universo, which will combine to show all 104 matches this summer. Just like FOX, Telemundo (hosting 92 fixtures) can be picked up via a digital antenna as long as you live within roughly 20 miles of a broadcast tower.

How to stream World Cup 2026 live in the USA

English:

English-speaking viewers in the USA looking to stream the action can do so via the FOX One service and the FOX Sports app.

A subscription to FOX One will set you back $19.99 per month (or $199.99 per year) and allows you to stream all 104 World Cup 2026 fixtures.

Spanish:

Spanish streaming coverage in the USA is exclusively handled by Peacock, which has rights to all 104 matches. Accessing every World Cup game on the service will cost $10.99 per month with ads (Peacock Premium), or $16.99 per month without (Peacock Premium Plus).

Be aware that the base ‘Peacock Select' tier costs $7.99 per month but does not include live sports.

FGG Says: Prices in the USA are much better than in the past

FOX One is the cheapest way to watch every World Cup 2026 game live in English, but it was only launched back in August 2025 as a way to respond to the growing popularity of NBC's collaboration with Peacock and CBS' with Paramount+.

Watching all fixtures from the 2022 edition of the tournament would have required viewers to pay huge fees for a TV package that they may not have wanted, but the $19.99 for FOX One seems much more reasonable for a month or two.

However, if you care little for the commentary and punditry, then consider that Peacock's streaming option also offers every game and costs just $10.99 ($16.99 with no ads), albeit in Spanish.
