Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has stated that the club's proposed stadium expansion will have major benefits on player recruitment.
The Cherries have the lowest capacity of any side in the Premier League, with the Vitality Stadium holding just over 11,000 supporters.
However, the South Coast have plans to modernise and expand the arena, completing works on all four sides of the ground to increase the capacity to 20,000.
Bournemouth have enjoyed an excellent start to the top-flight campaign and are currently five games unbeaten in front of their home faithful.
Vitality Stadium plans will ‘lighten the club's vision'
Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Bournemouth chairman Mosystyn provided an insight into plans for the redevelopment of the Vitality Stadium.
“It is going to look beautiful cosmetically and the players are going to continue feeling like they are part of a huge, professional football club that's here to stay,” said Mostyn told local radio.
“When we're looking at bringing in players, a new stadium will lighten the vision.”
When will work begin on the Vitality Stadium?
In an ideal world, Bournemouth are hoping to begin work on the redevelopment at the start of 2026, between January and March.
The Cherries are planning to have the work complete by the summer of 2027, allowing an increased number of supporters to attend for the start of the 2027-28 term.
Given their recent form, you would expect the South Coast to be in the Premier League at that time, unless a drastic change of fortunes occured.
FGG says: Maximising their potential
Beginning to consistently compete in the top half of the Premier League, Bournemouth need a stadium that reflects their growing ambitions.
They have done exceptionally well to cement themselves as a top-flight side, and an improvement to the Vitality Stadium would be the latest step in the club's remarkable rise.
