Latest footage has provided Wrexham supporters with a fresh look at progress on the Racecourse Ground's new Kop Stand redevelopment.
The £70 million project continues to gather momentum as the club pushes ahead with plans to increase the stadium's capacity to 18,000.
Significant progress continues on Kop Stand redevelopment
Drone footage captured over the weekend shows major advancements since previous updates from the site.
The structural steelwork has now been connected across the stand's towers, while a substantial amount of terracing has also been installed, giving supporters a clearer picture of how the finished stand will look.
The redevelopment will add around 5,500 seats to the Racecourse Ground and forms a key part of Wrexham's long-term growth plans under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The footage also highlights the scale of the concrete foundations and wider infrastructure works currently underway. Contractors J&D Pierce, who previously worked on Liverpool's Anfield Road Stand expansion, are leading the construction.
Away from the stand itself, the video briefly showcases Wrexham's pitch, which has recently been reseeded and appears in excellent condition ahead of the new season.
Although activity was relatively quiet during the early Saturday morning filming, the project was described as “motoring ahead”, with completion expected during the 2026/27 campaign.
FGG says: The transformation is becoming impossible to miss
This feels like one of the biggest visual milestones of the project so far.
Supporters are now seeing far more than foundations and steel beams, with the terracing beginning to emerge, alongside another tier, and the overall shape of the stand becoming increasingly obvious.
Every update seems to underline just how ambitious the Kop redevelopment is.
If progress continues at its current pace, Wrexham fans will soon have a stadium expansion worthy of the club's remarkable rise through the divisions.
