Fresh drone footage has revealed another major milestone in Wrexham's Kop Stand redevelopment, with the roof structure now standing independently after temporary supports were removed.

The update also shows progress on the terracing, rear glazing and players' tunnel as work continues at the Racecourse Ground.

Major Kop Stand update emerges in fresh Racecourse Ground footage

The most significant development is the installation of steel roof trusses spanning the length of the new stand.

As seen in new footage from Mister Drone UK, the large orange support structures that were visible last month have now been removed, demonstrating that the Kop Stand roof can stand independently.

Construction teams continue to install the lower concrete terracing, with additional steel beams also visible for the seating structure.

While some supporters have questioned the apparent distance between the stand and the pitch, further work is planned to bring the lower seating closer to the playing surface.

The concrete structure visible near the stand is also set to remain, forming the players' tunnel, while exits for supporters in the lower tier will sit directly above it.

Glazing installation on the rear wall has advanced considerably, with numerous glass panels now in place. The footage highlights the varied shapes required to complete the exterior, with some sections still awaiting installation.

Cranes remain active around the site, lifting individual concrete components as construction progresses.

The footage also shows ground being removed from an adjacent area, while the club has purchased the neighbouring plot of land for future expansion and redevelopment projects.

FGG says: Wrexham's Kop roof milestone signals real progress

The removal of the temporary roof supports is a significant visual step, allowing supporters to see the scale of the structure without the equipment that previously held it in position.

With terracing, glazing and the players' tunnel also taking shape, the Kop is becoming increasingly recognisable as a football stand.

The next key stage will be seeing the seating and finishing work progress alongside the completed roof framework.
