Liverpool pre-season friendlies: Where to watch, buy tickets

As it is for all clubs, especially those with ambitions of winning major silverware, the summer is a period of meticulous preparation at Liverpool, and as such, they have carefully selected an array of friendlies to help Arne Slot implement his ideas at Anfield.

With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Liverpool pre-season friendlies, including which games have been arranged and where you can buy tickets to attend them.

Who are Liverpool playing in pre-season friendlies?

Slot, who has big shoes to fill after replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, saw his side suffer a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Preston North End in their first friendly of the summer. After the result, the Dutchman refused to panic, understandably, given at this stage fitness is far more important than results.

With the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal still to play before the season commences, there are far more telling and important tests to come and his players will be more than aware of that.

In total, Liverpool will play four more major friendlies, three of which occur in the United States. Their final friendly will see the Reds return to Merseyside when they host Sevilla at Anfield on August 3.

Fixture dates for Liverpool pre-season friendlies

  • July 19 – Liverpool 0-1 Preston North End – AXA Training Centre, Liverpool
  • July 26 – Liverpool vs Real Betis – Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh – Kick-off: 12:30am BST
  • July 31 – Liverpool vs Arsenal – Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia – Kick-off: 12:30am BST
  • August 3 – Liverpool vs Man Utd – Brice Stadium, South Carolina – Kick-off: 12:30am BST
  • August 11 – Liverpool vs Sevilla – Anfield, Liverpool – Kick-off: 3pm BST

Tickets for Liverpool pre-season friendlies

Unfortunately, if you want a ticket for any of the Liverpool pre-season friendlies based in the States, you will be required to part ways with a huge amount of cash.

The Real Betis clash will set you back a minimum of $75 for one ticket, while tickets for the games against Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal are currently north of $100.

These extortionate prices have been heavily criticised online, with one fan taking to Facebook to say: “’m willing to pay $50 tops for a meaningless pre-season warmup. Those paying the ridiculous amount being charged for tickets should consider the likelihood that no first-team players will appear for more than 15 minutes.”

While another simply added that it would be “cheaper to fly to Liverpool and actually experience the Anfield atmosphere.”

Thankfully, tickets for the Sevilla clash, which will be hosted at Anfield, are far more reasonably priced, with adult tickets starting at £27 for the game.

All tickets can be purchased via the club's official website.

Where to watch Liverpool in pre-season

LFCTV is your one-stop hub for all things Liverpool during their pre-season campaign. A subscription to the media player service will allow supporters to do the following:

  • Watch every Pre-Season game live
  • Go behind the scenes with exclusive episodes of Inside Training
  • Gain access to exclusive interviews with players and the manager
  • Watch full match replays and extended highlights of every game

Liverpool offer an annual subscription package that can be purchased for a fee of £49.99, which will grant you the above benefits for the entire season. However, if you would prefer to subscribe for one month rather than the full twelve, then the club are currently running a deal which would see fans get their first month free.
