Manchester United fans arrive on Wembley Way ahead of FA Cup final

Manchester United have released pictures of their fans on Wembley Way ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City. The Red Devils lost to their rivals in the same final last year, thanks to a brace from Ilkay Gundogan.

United released a seven-photo gallery of their fans arriving on Wembley Way, eagerly anticipating the Manchester derby. Fans were spotted in new and old shirts, with one supporter pointing to his “Cantona 7” jersey with the famous Wembley arch in the background. The match kicks off at 3pm, with Pep Guardiola’s side looking to win the oldest domestic competition for the eighth time.

Match preview

City have won their last three matches in all competitions against their rivals, including 3-1 and 3-0 wins in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag’s team will be looking to start this year’s final better than the last, as they conceded after only 13 seconds before losing the match 2-1.

The Dutch manager was interviewed by MUTV ahead of the game and was complimentary of the United fans. He said: “I really admire the fans. I said, the other week, they are the best fans in the world, and we have been together through tough times this season. But I think the fans understand where we are as a team.

“All the problems we have had, we have suffered, but, in the same times, they have also had, over the last couple of years, tough times. And now we are, for the third time in two seasons, in a final, and we will give everything we have as a team, as individuals, to give them the cup.

“We have to pay them back and, if any fans deserve this, they are the fans of Manchester United.”
