Man Utd reveal huge Old Trafford upgrades aimed to transform fan experience ahead of 2026/27 season

Manchester United have confirmed a series of upgrades to improve the matchday experience at their iconic home.

The changes come after supporter feedback, with the club aiming to modernise key areas of Old Trafford ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Old Trafford to be given much-needed upgrades this summer

United have announced a new multi-year partnership with hospitality specialists Levy, with a focus on improving service speed, quality and overall fan experience.

Among the headline upgrades are new draught beer taps across all areas of the stadium, alongside additional self-service bars designed to reduce queues on matchdays.

“Frictionless” kiosks will also be introduced, allowing supporters to quickly purchase food and drink using tap-and-go technology.

Digital improvements are also planned, with new signage set to provide more flexible menus depending on kick-off times and fixtures, helping streamline the experience for fans inside the ground.

In addition, the club will introduce a wider range of food options by working with independent street food vendors from across Manchester, aiming to bring more local flavour to the stadium.

These aren’t headline-grabbing structural redevelopments, but they’re exactly the kind of upgrades supporters notice week in, week out.

Queues, lack of choice and outdated facilities have long been common complaints at Old Trafford, so addressing those issues directly is a smart move.

With uncertainty still surrounding any long-term stadium plans, this feels like a necessary step, improving the here and now rather than waiting years for something bigger.

For fans, it’s a positive sign that their feedback is being acted on and that the matchday experience is finally being treated as a priority.
