Fresh footage from the Camp Nou redevelopment has captured another major step forward as Barcelona's new compression ring nears completion.
Work is also accelerating across the stadium's VIP areas, facade and third tier as the project moves towards its next major milestones.
Final boxes added to Camp Nou compression ring
This update shows the final sections of the compression ring being connected and secured, bringing one of the redevelopment's most important structural stages towards completion.
Inside the stadium, work is progressing on the VIP ring and second overhang, with metal doors, partitions and walls being installed to establish the future hospitality and spectator areas.
Exterior work is also gathering pace. Preparations are underway for ceramic slats around the Tribune and corner sections, while the South Goal has received new LED lighting and additional sandwich panels.
Further structural steelwork is being carried out around the mobility cores, with concrete also being poured for seating structures in the Diamond area.
The latest timeline points towards the stadium redevelopment reaching an updated completion stage in the first quarter of 2027.
Barcelona are planning to open the third tier in phases, initially taking capacity beyond 70,000 before eventually targeting around 105,000.
A major roof installation is then scheduled to take place after the 2026/27 season.
FGG says: Barcelona’s huge redevelopment is taking shape
This is another encouraging update for Barcelona, with the compression ring entering its final stage and work spreading across so many different areas of the stadium.
The sheer amount of activity now taking place makes it increasingly easy to see how the finished Camp Nou will eventually come together.
The phased opening is also sensible given the scale of the redevelopment, allowing Barcelona to progressively increase capacity rather than waiting for every element to be completed at once.
There is still plenty of work ahead, particularly with the roof yet to come, but this latest footage represents another important milestone.
