Fresh drone footage from Villa Park has provided supporters with perhaps the clearest look yet at the scale of the club's ongoing North Stand redevelopment.

Filmed over the weekend, the aerial update captures major changes taking place across the stadium as Villa continue pushing forward with one of the biggest infrastructure projects currently underway in English football.

Aston Villa already making huge progress with Villa Park redevelopment

The latest drone footage shows significant progress on Aston Villa's redevelopment works, particularly around the North Stand.

One of the most striking developments is the removal of a substantial section of the stand's roof, with large areas now exposed as demolition and reconstruction work continues.

Elsewhere, extensive excavation work is visible around the stand footprint, with construction teams preparing foundations for the expanded structure.

Heavy machinery remains active across the site, while steelwork, material storage areas and ongoing site clearance all underline the scale of the operation currently taking place behind the scenes.

The footage also highlights changes within the Trinity Road Stand, where seating layouts are being reconfigured and aisles adjusted as part of wider improvements around the stadium.

Additional work can be seen in surrounding areas, including the removal of materials, seating storage and continued preparation of construction compounds.

The redevelopment will ultimately increase the capacity of the North Stand to more than 12,000 seats and help push Villa Park beyond the 50,000 mark once all phases are completed.

The project is also a key part of preparations for UEFA Euro 2028, with Villa Park selected as one of the tournament's host venues.

FGG says: Aston Villa aren't hanging around

Sometimes stadium projects can feel slow in the early stages, but that certainly isn't the case at Villa Park.

Every new update seems to reveal another noticeable or important change, and the amount of work already completed since the season ended is impressive.

For Villa supporters, the footage offers reassurance that the club is fully committed to delivering a bigger and more modern stadium capable of matching its ambitions on the pitch.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but if the current pace continues, fans have every reason to be excited about what Villa Park will look like when the redevelopment is finally complete.
