Scotland are gearing up to take on Germany tonight and thousands of Scotland fans have been soaking up the atmosphere in Munich all day. The Tartan Army have been drinking plenty, without getting themselves into trouble, to create a true carnival-style atmosphere before the tournament begins.
There had been fears prior to the tournament that UK football fans would cause issues in Germany during Euro 2024 Scotland fans can be proud of how they behaved on the whole.

The whole of Germany has been talking about Scotland fans for the past 48 hours, so it is unsurprising that they have also caught the attention of former Germany captain Philipp Lahm. Speaking to ITV in the build-up to Scotland vs Germany, Lahm said:
“I was in Munich yesterday and I have to say, the Scottish fans are absolutely incredible.”
Lahm hopes that Euro 2024 will ‘unite' people
In the build-up to Euro 2024, there has been plenty of controversy in Germany. A poll conducted by a German news publication found that 21% of Germans would like to see more white players in the squad.
At the time, Julian Nagelsmann and the current captain, Joshua Kimmich, both came out to slam the survey and those who ran it. Kimmich labelled it ‘absolute nonsense' while the German manager said that it was ‘racist' and said that he feels ‘we need to wake up.'
German legend Phillipp Lahm has some very high praise for the Scottish fans over in Germany…

It's the latest indication of a far-right movement in Europe and speaking before the match, Lahm stated that he hoped the tournament would help to ‘unite' people in what is a time where the country, and much of Europe, are at loggerheads.
