Supporter squeezes in some father-child bonding time at Euro 2024

There is a long-standing stereotype in society that men can not, or at the very least, struggle to multitask. However, this supporter proved that theory to be wrong as he managed to find time for some much-needed father-child bonding time during Euro 2024.

Perhaps the child may just develop a love for the footy in the future now, who knows?

A chance for father-child bonding time at Euro 2024

When it comes to the topic of whether or not parents should bring their children to matches, there is no real right answer. Some say it is far too dangerous, others say it can form bonds that last a lifetime – it is completely subjective.

However, we know exactly what side of the coin this football fan lands on in regard to the debate.

The above video shows a supporter during the Austria and Poland match at Euro 2024 who brought, what appears to be his relatively newly-born child, to the football, strapped to his chest.

Cameras in the stadium then proceeded to project the man onto the large screens, a turn of events the supporter seemed more than happy to embrace.

It certainly seemed to be an arrangement that was working, but whether or not babies being brought to the football becomes the new norm remains to be seen.

The power of football

The downside of football fan culture has undeniably been on display during Euro 2024, with violence among supporters reaching concerning numbers.

However, this video is a reminder of the good that the sport can do when used correctly. It can form bonds between family members, friends and even complete strangers that go on to last a lifetime.

There is no denying that football has the ability to divide us, but it also has an overwhelming ability to unite us and that is the aspect of the sport that we should all be focusing on.
