Manchester City supporters could soon see a major part of their stadium redevelopment come to life.
And the timing may prove crucial ahead of the closing weeks of the Premier League season.
Man City drop fresh North Stand reopening hint at Etihad Stadium
Recent footage suggested things were moving at a rapid pace, and now it's believed that City are aiming to open the expanded North Stand at Etihad Stadium before the end of the current campaign, per local reports.
The club are nearing completion of the first phase of their £300 million redevelopment, with the new upper tier set to add around 7,000 seats to the ground’s overall capacity.
Before it fully opens, the stand must undergo a series of test events to meet safety and operational requirements. However, the expectation is that it will be available in some capacity within the coming weeks.
That could coincide with several key fixtures, including a huge Premier League clash against Arsenal on April 19th, as well as matches against Brentford and Aston Villa before the season concludes.
City also have a rearranged home fixture against Crystal Palace still to be scheduled, potentially giving even more opportunities for fans to experience the upgraded stand this season.

FGG says: Man City boost ahead of the title run-in
The additional capacity is expected to significantly boost the atmosphere inside the Etihad, something manager Pep Guardiola will welcome as his side looks to close the gap at the top of the table.
An extra 7,000 fans, particularly in a single stand, can make a noticeable difference to the atmosphere, especially for high-stakes games like Arsenal at home.
For a team chasing down a title rival, those small gains matter.
It won’t suddenly transform the Etihad into the most intimidating ground in Europe overnight, but it does give City an extra edge at a critical stage of the season.
