The 2023 Club World Cup final is being held in Saudi Arabia. The entire tournament has been held in the country with many people dubbing it the first of many “dry runs” ahead of the 2034 World Cup. Saudi Arabia were the only country to bid for the event in 2034 so they are all but confirmed as hosts already.
The Club World Cup final will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. The stadium was opened in 2014 and is the home stadium of Al Ahli and Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, as well as the Saudi Arabia national team. It has a capacity of 62,345.
Both Al Ahli and Al Ittihad have been backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) so the pitch at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium is no stranger to superstars with the likes of Karim Benzema and Riyad Mahrez playing their football there on a weekly basis.
How many fans are going to the 2023 Club World Cup final?
At the time of writing, tickets for the 2023 Club World Cup final are still on sale via the official FIFA website. Tickets are being sold for as little as 75 SAR (£15) while hospitality tickets in the stadium's Gold Lounge are being sold for 4,000 SAR (£840).
Manchester City fans had previously advised their fans that they could purchase tickets directly through them to gain access to the allocated Man City section in the stadium but this option is no longer available. As a result, all the tickets that remain will be in the neutral sections around the stadium rather than in the designated Manchester City and Fluminese ends.
