The new Premier League season is here, and as is customary, all 20 clubs have released brand-new home, away and third kits to mark the new campaign.
The price of these kits continues to rise year on year, leading many supporters to turn to overseas suppliers for fake replicas. While these provide a cheaper solution, the quality is often so poor that one wash can ruin them.
If you are looking for official Premier League shirts, the following places are all worth checking out.
Club megastores
All 20 Premier League clubs have ‘megastores' of some description. While some clubs use different names for them, they all have a physical store at their stadiums. These stores are all guaranteed to have the newest kits on sale, for women, men and children.
These stores are also guaranteed to have the biggest stock, so if you are finding other places are short on your size, heading to a megastore is your best bet.
Club websites
If you would rather shop online, all 20 Premier League clubs sell their kits online through their official websites. This is the most convenient and popular way to buy new Premier League shirts, but there is a downside to that.
For starters, you are often forced to pay administration and delivery fees, which drive the price up. Additionally, the popularity of this method means stock runs out quickly, so you may struggle to get your size.

Sports Direct
Sports Direct has long been a popular place to buy new Premier League shirts, and they often offer them at a slightly discounted price. Some Sports Direct stores also have printing services, allowing customers to have their chosen names and numbers printed onto their new kits.
Stock issues are a big problem at Sports Direct, so while you may get a lower price, it is a complete lottery as to whether they have your size.
JD Sports
JD Sports is similar to Sports Direct in that it is a high street store that sells brand new Premier League shirts. The issues that Sports Direct customers face are identical to the ones that JD customers face. Typically, most fans will try both places on the same trip.
Select JD Sports stores, typically the biggest, also offer printing. Some kits are also sold with players' names and numbers already printed.
FGG says: Wait for a discount code
Paying full price for a brand-new football shirt is not worth it, regardless of whether you are buying from a high street chain or your football club directly. Instead, wait a few months, and buy them with a discount code when demand lowers. Alternatively, why not consider a retro shirt instead?
