Ever since it was revealed by FIFA that the 2030 World Cup will be played across six different countries, the question on everyone's lips has been – Which stadium will host the 2030 World Cup final?
The three ‘main' hosts of the tournament are set to be Portugal, Spain and Morocco with three ‘special' matches to be played in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay due to the fact the tournament will 100 years since the very first World Cup in 1930.
As a result, it has been assumed that the final would be held in either Portugal, Morocco or Spain and reports from Spain this week suggest that FIFA are leaning towards giving the final to the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to MARCA, the ‘excellent' relationship between Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid president and Gianni Infantino is likely to be a contributing factor. Additionally, the fact that Real Madrid are one of the founders of FIFA should also help their case.
The biggest factor, however, is the Bernabeu renovation that has taken place in recent years. The stadium, which was already one of the best in the world, has become a modernised piece of art and it is now considered the very best that Europe has to offer.
Which stadium will host the 2030 World Cup final? Why it might not be the Bernabeu
It's important to remember that nothing is set in stone and that an official decision won't come for some time. FIFA only revealed that the 2026 World Cup final will be played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in February so we will likely be waiting until 2028 for an official answer.

While the Bernabeu will certainly be in the running, there are another couple of options that FIFA will consider. The Nou Camp is currently undergoing renovation work to bring it up to speed with modern football stadia and will have a capacity that trumps the Bernabeu.
Additionally, a new monster of a stadium is being built in Morocco for the World Cup which could get the nod. The new stadium will become the biggest in the world once it's completed with a capacity of 115,000 which means more fans than ever before could be in attendance for a World Cup final if it was held here.
