After winning the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, Arsenal revealed plans for a trophy parade in London on Sunday, 31 May.
The celebration will take place from 14:00 local time and will follow a route around North London. If the spontaneous celebrations outside the Emirates Stadium in the days since Arsenal were crowned champions are anything to go by, then huge numbers are expected on the day.
One slight bit of controversy around the parade is the date that the club have chosen. A day earlier, Arsenal take on PSG in the Champions League final, which means fans travelling to Budapest for the final are unlikely to make it back in time for the celebrations.
Could these plans change if Arsenal win the Champions League?
Arsenal trophy parade: What if Arsenal win the Champions League?
Arsenal have confirmed that the parade will go ahead as planned if Mikel Arteta and his team win the Champions League final against PSG.
In the official press release, the club have listed a potential men's UEFA Champions League trophy as one of the reasons for the parade, so the plan is for the Arsenal team to travel back with or without the trophy and start the celebrations on Sunday, 31, May as planned.
The celebrations go beyond the men's team's achievements, which is perhaps the key reason why plans won't change based on the outcome of the Champions League final. The Women's FIFA Champions Cup will also be paraded, and the Women's squad will be part of the four-bus procession.

Arsenal issue warning to fans over Emirates celebrations
While Arsenal will go ahead with the parade regardless of the outcome of the Champions League final, there is one thing that could scupper the parade plans: Arsenal supporters who aren't travelling to Budapest for the final.
The club have instructed all fans who aren't attending the Champions League final screening at the Emirates Stadium to stay away from the stadium's surroundings should the Gunners beat PSG.
As joyous as the post-Premier League title celebrations were at the Emirates Stadium following Man City's draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday, 12 May, similar scenes could cause serious disruptions to the pre-parade planning.
In a statement, Arsenal warned:
“We encourage all supporters who do not have a ticket to the screening to avoid gathering around Emirates Stadium that evening as this may significantly impact our preparation for, and ability to deliver, the parade celebrations.”
FGG says: A shame for those in Budapest
It's highly unlikely that anyone attending the Champions League final in Budapest will make it back to North London in time for the parade, which does leave a slight sour taste in the mouth. Those in Budapest are the ones who have been home and away with Arsenal all season, and they should be part of the celebrations.
