When discussing Liverpool's success over the past decade, most people talk about Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah as the two key cogs in the wheel. However, there is an argument that Alisson Becker has been more important than both of them.
It's important to remember that before the Brazilian signed for the club in the summer of 2018, they had lost out on major honours for several years due to goalkeeping errors, so to go from that to having one of the best keepers in the world was quite the jump.
It's not just those outside of Anfield who perhaps underate his importance, but those inside are also guilty of it, too. Everybody knows the Mo Salah chant and the Virgil van Dijk chant, but does anyone know the Alisson Becker chant?
Keep reading for all the most important information on the chant, including the lyrics and tune.
Alisson Becker chant, lyrics and tune
The Alisson Becker chant is sung to the tune of ‘Dragostea Din Tei' by O-Zone. The lyrics are as follows:
Alisson Becker,
The Brazilian in our goal,
We love him as our own,
He loves to get the ball to Mo,
There was once a corner,
Ali ran up on his own,
What happened, don't you know?
He scored a f***ing wonder goal
Alisson Becker chant background
The Alisson Becker chant, like many Liverpool chants, was created by a man with an acoustic guitar playing to a crowd of people.
This role was previously undertaken by Jamie Webster, but now Andy Hodgson and others have taken on the responsibility.
It was Hodgson who created this chant, and his lyrics do a good job of detailing some of the goalkeeper's best traits and most iconic moments. Unfortunately for Hodgson, the lyrics don't quite fit the tune at certain parts.
Regardless of that, any chant for Alisson Becker has to include his famous goal against West Brom in 2021, and Hodgson didn't miss in this regard.

FGG says: A good tune and good lyrics, but they just don't work together
When you think about how catchy and anthemic Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone is, it's a surprise that there aren't any popular football chants that use the tune. This is nearly perfect from Andy Hodgson, but it just misses the beat in parts.
