Andy Robertson is one of the great success stories of the Premier League era. Signed from Hull City for just £8m, the full-back went on to become one of the best players in the world in his position under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Although Robertson's peak years are now behind him, he has already cemented his Anfield legacy by playing a huge role in two Premier League title victories and one Champions League triumph.
It is, therefore, no surprise that every time you visit Anfield, you hear the Andy Robertson chant being belted out by the Liverpool faithful.
Andy Robertson chant, lyrics and tune
The Andy Robertson chant is sung to a popular football chant tune that is used by many clubs. You will now know what we mean when you watch the video below. For now, though, here are the lyrics:
Oh, Andy, Andy
Andy, Andy, Andy, Andy, Roberston!
Oh, Andy, Andy
Andy, Andy, Andy, Andy, Roberston!
Andy Robertson chant background
The Andy Robertson chant is fitting for the player – it is understated but does the job well. While Liverpool fans aren't going to win any prizes for this chant, it can often be one of the loudest sung at Anfield due to its simplicity.
Both Scotland and Liverpool fans have dabbled with the idea of a Robertson chant to the tune of ‘Belter' by Gerry Cinnamon, but both sets of supporters have ultimately always come back to the Andy, Andy, Andy, Andy Robertson effort.
One of the loudest renditions of this Liverpool chant came during the 2025/26 season. It was sung loud and proud by Liverpool fans during a match against Real Madrid, shortly after Trent Alexander-Arnold came onto the field. It was a message to the former Reds player of what he could have had, had he not left the club for Madrid.

FGG says: A ‘belter' in its own right
A Gerry Cinnamon ‘Belter' chant for Andy Robertson always felt inevitable, and while that could have been brilliant if done correctly, I don't think it's a bad thing at all that Liverpool fans settled on this chant for the full-back. It's very easy to learn, get the crowd going and will certainly be appreciated by the player.
