Away fans’ guide to Lublin: Key information for Crystal Palace fans

Crystal Palace will kick off their Europa Conference League league phase campaign with an away match against Dynamo Kyiv, but for obvious reasons, the match won't be played in the Ukrainian capital.

Instead, the Eagles' clash with Dynamo Kyiv will take place in Lublin, Poland, at the aptly named Motor Lublin Arena.

Although there are still some frustrations within the club around their involvement in the competition, when they qualified for the Europa League, it's time to put all that behind them now and focus on winning it.

If you are one of the many Crystal Palace fans planning on heading over to Poland for the match, here is everything you need to know.

How many Crystal Palace fans are going to Lublin?

Crystal Palace have been allocated 2,500 tickets for the match at the Motor Lublin Arena, a very healthy figure for the club's first-ever match in a European Competition proper. Although the match is just around the corner, the sales process is still ongoing, so it is unclear at this stage just how many of these tickets will be sold.

The expectation is that all 2,500 will sell, particularly as the ticket price works out at around £10.

Where will Crystal Palace fans sit at the Motor Lublin Arena?

The away section at the Motor Lublin Arena stretches across the majority of one end of the stadium, specifically in blocks C1, C2 and D1. The stadium is nice and compact, with a capacity of 15,247, and is just a single tier all the way around. As a result, Palace fans will get a great view of the action, particularly when the ball is down at that end of the pitch.

Lublin is far from the biggest city in Poland, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in beauty, with the old town a particular highlight for a lot of tourists. For the majority of Palace fans, the priority will be finding the best pubs and restaurants, where they will spend most of the day before kick-off.

One good thing about playing Dynamo Kyiv in Lublin is that the city won't be packed with home supporters, so the general atmosphere should be friendly.

How to get to Motor Lublin Arena: Guide for Crystal fans in Lublin

The Motor Lublin Arena is located just outside the city centre to the south, but as the city is so small, this equates to just a 20-minute walk from the most central point of the city. Even better, the stadium is only a five-minute walk away from Lublin's main railway station, making it ideal for anyone travelling in from major cities such as Warsaw and Krakow.
