There could be more than 4,000 Celtic fans at Dundee for the Scottish Premiership match. This comes after the original fears that Celtic’s allocation had been reduced by over 400 for their Scottish Premiership away match for unclarified reasons.
Celtic announce original allocation
The Parkhead club were given 3,737 tickets in the away section at Dens Park for the fixture between the teams on December 26, 2023. However, that was reduced to 3,323 for the crunch match against Dundee on Sunday, April 28.
In a statement, Celtic said: “Tickets for the #cinchpremiership away fixture vs. Dundee on Sunday, April 28 are now on sale to eligible Season Ticket holders.
“The Club received a reduced allocation of 3,323 tickets for this match.”

Brendan Rodgers said: “Our focus has always been on ourselves and I made that point to the players, it's irrespective of what happens or what other results, the way it goes for other teams.
“We can only do our work because you can't soften up, especially at this time, just because another team might have drawn or lost or whatever because that's irrelevant.
“You have to perform and get the result because if you come off it against teams that are motivated and organised then they can give you a problem.
“For us, we have to continually focus on our own performance irrespective of what happens elsewhere because we have to create our story, and for that we have to work at it and hopefully that will be the storyline come the end of the season.”
Up to 4,200 Celtic fans could be at Dens Park
The reason for the reduced allocation was originally unclear, but it has now been clarified. It was thought that Celtic fans would not be sold tickets in the Main Stand, Block B, at Dundee Park. Football Scotland reported on April 22 that this is no longer the case. This is because Dundee are set to sell tickets separately to local Celtic fans to stop away fans sitting in the home section for Sunday’s match.
If all these tickets sell out, the number of Celtic supporters in the stadium could increase up to 4,200. Rodgers’ side will be looking to extend their three-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
