2024/25 Champions League draw takes place 17 days after last season’s final

The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League draw has taken place, 17 days after Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund in last season’s final. Seventeen ties were drawn for the first qualifying round, with the likes of Celtic and Crvena Zvezda included.

How does the Champions League draw work?

The draw for the first qualifying round was split into five groups of six teams, three of which were seeded and the other three unseeded. They were divided based on the clubs’ coefficient rankings. You can read all about the procedure for the draw and the requirements for each competing team on the UEFA website here.
