Damage has been sustained inside Dundee United’s stadium, Tannadice Park, following an overnight break-in.
Police units and a forensics team were dispatched to the stadium on the morning of Sunday, December 31 to assess the damage caused by the break-in.
The two police units entered the stadium from the George Fox Stand entrance, while a forensics team was stationed on Sandeman Street.
A police spokeswoman said: “Around 12:20am on Sunday December 31, 2023, we were made aware of damage to a premises on Tannadice Street, Dundee.
“Officers attended and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
Dundee United’s last game at Tannadice Park was a 3-0 win against Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship on Friday, December 29, 2023.
