Bosses urge England and Scotland fans to check Euro 2024 travel advice

England and Scotland fans will be heading to Germany for Euro 2024 in just over a month, and the UK government as well as bosses from both teams has urged them to check that they understand the travel rules before departing.

Scotland face host nation Germany in the opening match at the Allianz Arena on 14th June, and thousands of the Tartan Army are expected to head out to Munich.

“The Scotland supporters are renowned for the atmosphere they bring to major tournaments when they travel abroad and I know how much the fans are looking forward to the action kicking off in Germany,” said boss Steve Clark. “I would encourage all Scotland supporters to follow the government’s travel advice to ensure that they are well prepared to join in the fun when it kicks off.”

Meanwhile, England's Football Supporters association confirmed that they will have a presence in Germany during Euro 2024.

“We are delighted to see the level of support that is in place for England fans travelling to Germany from so many key stakeholders,” revealed FSA representative Thomas Concannon. “The England Fans’ Embassy – a by-fans, for-fans service – will be running in Germany to assist fans on the ground in each city we play in.”

How can England and Scotland fans check the Euro 2024 travel advice?

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has suggested that fans obtain the correct travel insurance before travelling to Germany, as well as registering for email updates on their  website and subscribing to their social channels.

There will also be representatives from the UK consulate in Germany during the tournament to support any British citizens who need help or advice.

Fans will also be able to contact the FCDO by phone 24/7 on +44 (0)20 7008 5000 or by calling the embassy locally on +49 (0)30 204570. Fans in Germany can access the German emergency services by dialling 112.
