England supporters travelling to Dallas for the 2026 World Cup have been given a detailed safety update after local authorities outlined their plans for one of the tournament's busiest host cities.

With the Three Lions set to open their campaign against Croatia in Arlington on June 17th, police and tournament organisers insist they are ready after more than two years of preparation.

Officials from across North Texas have revealed extensive security measures ahead of the World Cup, which will see Arlington host several matches at AT&T Stadium.

Local police agencies confirmed there will be a significantly increased law enforcement presence around stadiums, fan zones, transport hubs and areas expected to attract large numbers of supporters.

Both uniformed and plain-clothed officers will be deployed, while drones, street cameras and other technology will be used to monitor crowd activity.

Arlington Police Chief Al Jones said officers from more than 30 outside agencies will assist on matchdays, creating a security operation larger than those typically seen for Dallas Cowboys games in the NFL.

Fans attending matches should also expect road closures around the stadium district, with authorities confirming sections of AT&T Way and Cowboys Way will be restricted.

Only the east and west plaza entrances will be available for supporters entering the stadium, with officials urging fans to check their tickets carefully before arriving to avoid congestion.

Meanwhile, Dallas Police confirmed a strong presence at the FIFA Fan Festival and other key locations throughout the tournament.

Authorities also revealed that undercover operations will target criminal activity, including drug and human trafficking, during the event.

Organisers stressed that emergency services will remain fully operational throughout the tournament and that local residents and visitors should continue to expect normal response times for 911 calls.

The security plans are among the most extensive ever assembled for a sporting event in North Texas.
