England fans were given many rules to adhere to ahead of Euro 2024, with German officials warning them specifically in regards to a chant that references World War Two.
And, of course, England supporters had to live up to the negative stereotype of them across Europe and sing the song almost instantly upon arrival in the country.

What is the banned chant?
Ahead of the tournament, the government in Germany had made it very clear to Three Lions supporters that their famous chant, which makes references to their victory over Germany in World War Two, would not be received well in the country.
Speaking in the months leading up to June, Chief of Police in Germany, Peter Broth, said: “That’s what I would say to them: Don’t be a d***. If they sing a song like this, I can’t change it. It’s not punishable in Germany.
“I hope that all the other peaceful and law-abiding fans say to them: ‘Stop it’. I know, and all people in Germany know, there is a long-lasting sporting rivalry between England and Germany. But it’s important for me to say it’s only a sporting one.
“Our countries have been, and remain, allies for over seven decades.”
England fans sing it anyway

It is of course worth remembering that the vast majority of Three Lions fans will refrain from signing the tune, but as usual, a group of supporters have been pictured chanting the frowned-upon tune almost instantly upon their arrival in Germany.
The mob, which filled a street in the country, could be seen drinking alcohol – a likely factor in their unsavoury behaviour.
Brits doing very little to help image
Europe's less-than-positive opinion of British football fans is no secret, particularly English supporters, and so far, neither Scottish nor English fans have done anything to improve that image. If anything, they have made it worse.
On the opening day of Euro 2024, a Scottish fan revealed all to the entire German population during a live interview, and now the Three Lions supporters have followed with some terrible behaviour of their own.
It is a worrying trend with the tournament just two days into its month-long lifespan, and it proves that German officials were right to highlight British fans as potential problems at Euro 2024.
