Community Shield tickets: Buying guide

Crystal Palace tickets

Crystal Palace have been allocated 30,047 tickets for the Community Shield, and the sales process for these tickets began on Monday, 14 July. The club are keen to reward their most loyal supporters, so they have set up staggered sales windows. They are as follows:

  • 14 July: Season Ticket+ Holders; Away Season Ticket Holders; Season Ticket Holders with over 8,500 Loyalty Points; and Gold or Junior Gold Members with over 8,500 Loyalty Points.
  • 15 July: All remaining Season Ticket Holders and Gold or Junior Gold Members.
  • 16 July: Adult, Junior and International Members.
  • 17 July: Season Ticket Holders are invited to purchase up to two additional tickets.

If any tickets remain in the days and weeks leading up to the final, then there is a chance that the club will offer members the chance to buy additional tickets, too, but nothing is guaranteed at this stage.

Liverpool tickets

Liverpool have also been allocated 30,047 tickets, but they are distributing their tickets in a slightly different way to Crystal Palace. Initially, they have asked all Season Ticket Holders and All Red Members to register their interest in purchasing tickets to gauge who they should extend ticket offerings to.

From 18 July, the club have offered their Priority Rights Holders a window to purchase tickets. This window will shut on 21 July, at which point all remaining tickets will be put on sale to Season Ticket Holders and All Red Members who attended 19 or more Premier League matches during the 2024/25 season.

Community Shield tickets: Alternative options

If you don't meet the sales criteria with either club and don't want to pay hospitality prices, then your only other option is to use a third party platform.

While these websites do come with risks attached, from a security and legitimacy perspective, if you do your research before buying, they can be a good way of getting tickets for matches that are listed as sold out.

We recently reviewed two ticket resale platforms to give FGG readers peace of mind:

Please note that you will have to pay over face value if using this method.
