Liverpool endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign under Arne Slot, failing to retain their Premier League crown and going trophyless, and fans will be hoping for a fresh start this summer with Andoni Iraola at the helm.
The former Bournemouth manager has established a reputation for playing an aggressive front-footed attacking style, and the Reds' faithful will get their first glimpse of his philosophy when Liverpool face Sunderland at GEODIS Park on July 25 as part of the Premier League Summer Series.
GEODIS Park – home to MLS side Nashville SC – boasts a capacity of just over 30,000, and may be familiar to some fans after the ground hosted three games during the 2025 Club World Cup.
Liverpool are expected to head into their clash against Sunderland with the majority of their squad in tow, as while World Cup 2026 only ends on July 19, the Reds have just two players still competing in the tournament – Alisson Becker (Brazil) and Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina).
