How to get to Ullevi: Best ways for Man United fans to travel for PSG pre-season friendly

Next up for the Red Devils are trips to Trondheim and Stockholm to face Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid, before they travel to Gothenburg to play the European champions, PSG.

The popularity of both clubs in Scandinavia means that a sell-out crowd is expected at Nya Ullevi, which has a capacity of 43,000. There is also the possibility of fans from Manchester and Paris travelling over to Sweden for the match, given how well both clubs' supporters travel for European away matches.

How to get to Nya Ullevi

By train/walk

The easiest way to get to Nya Ullevi is to get the train to Gothenburg Central Station and then walk. The station is located around 1km east of the stadium, which equates to around a 15-minute walk. There are plenty of bars and restaurants en route to the stadium, if you want to break the journey up.

Gothenburg Central Station is one of the biggest railway stations in Sweden and has a direct line to Stockholm, which is handy for supporters who are travelling from the capital after United's match against Atletico Madrid.

By tram

Football fans can also use the tram system to get from the centre of Gothenburg to the Nya Ullevi. The two nearest tram stops to the stadium are Ullevi Norra and Ullevi Sodra, both of which are a stone's throw away.

Ullevi Norra is served by lines 1,3, 6 and 8, while Ullevi Sodra is served by lines 2, 6, 8, 12 and 13. Both stops are accessible from central tram stops.

By bike

There is a cycle route from the centre of Gothenburg to the Nya Ullevi, where you will find hundreds of bike racks nearby. Fans can rent bikes from Styr & Ställ, with several pick-up points in the city centre.

By car

Football fans are advised to use public transport or walk to the stadium where possible, as there isn't much parking available at Nya Ullevi. To find the nearest car parks, fans should use the Parkering Göteborg service.
