How to get to Wroclaw Stadium: Best ways for Man United fans to travel for AC Milan pre-season friendly

Manchester United recorded their first win of pre-season on Friday, 24 July, as they downed Rosenborg 5-0 at the Lerkendal Stadion in Norway.

The win was a welcome one for Michael Carrick after seeing his depleted side lose to Wrexham in Helsinki a week earlier, and they can now look forward to the rest of their summer.

Towards the end of their pre-season tour of Europe, the Red Devils will take on AC Milan at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland. As far as pre-season matches go, this is one of significance for United, as it will see them go up against their former manager, Ruben Amorim.

How to get to the Wroclaw Stadium

By train

The Wroclaw Stadium, otherwise known as the Tarczynski Arena, is located around 9km north-west of the city centre, meaning that fans need to either drive or use public transport to get to the stadium, with walking not a viable option.

Arguably the best way to get to the stadium is to board a train from Wroclaw Glowny (the city's main railway station) to Wroclaw Stadion. These services run every hour and the total journey time is just 12 minutes, getting fans to the stadium quickly.

By tram

While the train will get you to the Wroclaw Stadium quickly, services are not particularly frequent, which means a lot of fans elect to get the tram instead. The city's tram network connects the city centre to the stadium via trams 3, 10 and 20 from the central station (Rynek).

These trams operate every 10-15 minutes, and the total travelling time from Rynek to the stadium (Lotnicza) is around 20 minutes.

By bus

For fans who prefer travelling by bus, there are plenty of services that run from the city centre to the stadium and back throughout the day. Look for bus numbers 101, 102, 103, 104, 123,127, 243, 245, and 253, and you will end up at the stadium.

By car

Although we would recommend using public transport, you can drive to the Wroclaw Stadium and park your car without too much hassle. There is space for 2,500 cars at the stadium's official car park, which can be pre-booked online or on the day.

To get to the stadium by car, head down the A8 Motorway Bypass of Wroclaw and exit at ‘Stadion'. From there, continue to follow signs for the stadium.
