Inter Milan away section: Guide for Arsenal fans at San Siro

Arsenal are set to take on Inter Milan on Wednesday, 6 November in what could be the Gunners' final-ever match at the San Siro. Both Milan clubs are set on leaving the famous old stadium in the coming years which has made this fixture in demand for Arsenal fans.

What can the travelling Arsenal fans expect from the Inter Milan away section? Our guide below has all the answers.

Where is the Inter Milan away section?

The Inter Milan away section is in the Curva Sud behind one of the goals at the San Siro. Like many European clubs, Inter Milan stick the away fans as far away from the pitch as possible in a bid to marginalise them as much as possible.

The Inter Milan away section stretches across the top tier of the Curva Sud with away fans entering the stadium from blocks 301-318 if the full allocation is taken.

What is the Inter Milan away section like?

As mentioned, the Inter Milan away section is very far away from the San Siro pitch which can make fans in the away end feel disconnected from the match. There is also often netting in place to prevent missiles being thrown to and from the away end and although this safety measure is well-intended, it can obscure the view of the action.

The Curva Sud is opposite the Curva Nord – the stand where the Inter Milan ultras base themselves. This means that away fans can also feel disconnected from the core atmosphere of the San Siro. On a positive note, it does mean that you get a good view of any tifos/banners that the Inter Milan fans unveil.

As you would perhaps expect from an ageing stadium, the away section is a little cramped and the concourses aren't anything to write home about.

Arsenal allocation for Inter Milan away

Arsenal have been given an allocation of 4,361 tickets for the match against Inter Milan which means there will be a healthy number of Arsenal fans in Milan for the match. All of these tickets were sold very quickly for what will be the Gunners' first visit to the San Siro in six years and their first clash with Inter Milan in 21 years.

Ticket prices for the match are also very fairly priced at £29.25 which only increased demand among the Arsenal fanbase.
