‘Let’s make the dream reality’ – Kaiserslautern fans with message of support
Kaiserslautern fans lifted a banner that said, “Let’s make the dream reality…together we’ll win the cup!” This was accompanied with a sea of red pyrotechnics and loud chanting ahead of the crucial semi-final match.
The Red Devils’ opponents, Saarbrücken, play in the third tier of German football and have already beaten the likes of Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach in this year’s edition of the German Cup.
Kaiserslautern history in the competition
Kaiserslautern have won the DFB Pokal twice, most recently in 1996. The winner of this tie will become the first non-Bundesliga team to reach the final of the competition since 2011.
