Shrewsbury Town have confirmed several long-running matchday bus services to Croud Meadow will not return for the 2026/27 season.

The decision has left some supporters facing difficulties getting to home games, with the club offering full season-ticket refunds to those who can no longer attend as a result.

The ST2 service from Telford, ST3 from Oswestry, ST4 from Whitchurch via Wem and ST5/ST6 services from Ludlow have all been scrapped following a review of their viability.

The League Two outfit said rising operating costs and insufficient usage meant the services were no longer sustainable, although the ST1 Town Centre Shuttle between Shrewsbury Bus Station and Croud Meadow will continue.

Shrewsbury have pointed supporters towards public services including the 511, X5 and X10, which connect with the remaining ST1 service.

However, the club has acknowledged the impact the decision could have and is offering full season-ticket refunds to supporters who believe they can no longer attend matches because their bus service has been axed.

The offer is available until 2.30pm on Friday August 14th, with no refunds available after that deadline.

Salop has also encouraged supporters facing extreme difficulties to get in touch to see whether an alternative solution can be found.

FGG says: Shrewsbury have at least recognised the impact of the decision

It is understandable that Shrewsbury have had to look at the financial viability of these services, particularly if passenger numbers were too low to justify the increasing costs.

However, offering full season-ticket refunds is a sensible gesture towards supporters who genuinely relied on the buses to attend matches.

For those fans, losing the service could effectively mean losing their ability to follow the club in person.
