Liverpool fans are enjoying themselves in Milan ahead of their club's first Champions League match of the season against AC Milan. The match is a repeat of the historic 2005 Champions League final, a night that many Liverpool supporters consider to be the greatest in the club's long history.
The match is set to kick-off this evening at 20:00 UK time with Liverpool fans now gearing up for their journey to the San Siro. If reports are to be believed, this could be the last time that Liverpool fans have the opportunity to watch their team play at the famous stadium with both Milan clubs set to leave in the coming years.

Liverpool fans in disbelief after supporter dies in Milan
What has largely been a day of good fun for Liverpool fans has been severely blighted by the news that one of their fellow supporters has tragically died in the city.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the fan was attempting to cross the A4 highway near the airport in Bergamo when he was struck by an SUV. Reports claim he had only just arrived in Milan after flying in from Manchester and was trying to get to the airport across the busy highway.
The news has left thousands of Liverpool fans in Milan in shock and has unquestionably but a dampener on spirits ahead of kick-off.
How many Liverpool fans have gone to Milan?
Liverpool received a hefty allocation of 4,395 tickets from AC Milan for this fixture. The club sold these tickets out relatively quickly meaning there are currently at least that number of Liverpool fans in the Italian city.
Due to Liverpool's large support and the relative ease of getting to Milan from the UK, it is understood that some fans have also travelled without tickets. As a result, the true number of Liverpool fans in Milan is probably closer to the 5,000 mark.
According to reports in Italy, the San Siro won't be close to being full tonight. AC Milan fans are currently in disbelief at how poorly their team have started the new season and some are therefore staying away from the stadium tonight. As such, it wouldn't be a surprise to see pockets of Liverpool fans in the home end tonight.
