Liverpool have confirmed that their Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield will go ahead as planned on Sunday, October 25, despite concerns over strong winds and severe weather.
The Reds issued an official statement confirming that both of the club’s scheduled fixtures on Sunday, including the women’s team’s meeting with London City Lionesses at St Helens Stadium, would proceed as planned.
Liverpool confirm Brighton game will go ahead
The announcement comes after the Met Office issued amber weather warnings as Storm Boelo hits parts of the UK, prompting concerns over supporter safety and travel disruption.
However, Liverpool have confirmed that both their men's and women's teams will be playing their games as scheduled.
The club have urged fans attending either match to take extra care when making their way to the stadiums, with stewards available to assist supporters amid the adverse weather.
In an official statement, Liverpool said:“Liverpool FC’s fixtures at Anfield and St Helens Stadium today will both go ahead as planned.

“The men’s team host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League and the women’s team are facing London City Lionesses in the Barclays Women’s Super League, with each kicking off at 2pm GMT.
“Due to the very windy weather, please take care if you are travelling to either game, plan your journey in advance and give yourself extra time.
“Club stewards will be on hand at both stadiums to assist supporters – please follow their guidance when you arrive.
“We wish you safe travels and we look forward to welcoming you to Anfield and St Helens Stadium.”
FGG says: Supporter safety should remain the priority
Liverpool’s confirmation will reassure supporters, although the club’s travel advice underlines the need to remain cautious given the weather.
Supporters should allow extra time for their journeys, follow advice from stewards and check for any further travel updates before setting off.
