London Stadium records and unique features

West Ham's record attendance was set on 23rd December 2023, when 64,472 supporters watched the Hammers beat Manchester United 2-0.

The stadium's 105m by 68m pitch sits within an athletics venue featuring a nine-lane track. Its adaptable lower-tier seating allows the ground to accommodate football, athletics and major concerts, including the first Major League Baseball (MLB) games played in Europe.

Away from the pitch, the venue contains 35 catering outlets, while its hospitality lounges and executive boxes can accommodate 3,600 guests. Stratford station, approximately a 15-minute walk away, benefits from 58 trains per hour, with 20 bus routes also serving the area.

The stadium has never secured a naming-rights partner, retaining the name London Stadium after previously being known as the Olympic Stadium and the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

West Ham's 99-year concession agreement began in 2016. The reported annual rent was around £4.6m before a contractual reduction of approximately £2.5m following relegation.

With Olympic heritage, a capacity of 62,500 for football and a concert capacity of 80,000, the London Stadium remains a distinctive venue whose scale and adaptability set it apart from traditional Premier League grounds.
