AFC Bournemouth's summer redevelopment work is gathering pace as the countdown continues towards the start of the new Premier League season.
Fresh footage has now provided supporters with the clearest look yet at the progress being made, with fewer than 50 days remaining until the Cherries welcome Everton to the Vitality Stadium.
New footage shows Vitality Stadium latest ahead of Bournemouth vs Everton
New drone footage has revealed the latest progress on Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium redevelopment, with construction continuing across multiple areas ahead of the club's first home Premier League fixture against Everton on August 29th.
While much of the most important work remains below ground, contractors have completed piling operations and installed pile caps in the new corner infill sections, laying the foundations for the next stage of construction.
Concrete pours have also been completed across both levels of the south-west corner wing extension, while work continues on hospitality areas with insulation boarding installed and roofing progressing over the new balcony sections.
Elsewhere around the ground, a new secure stadium perimeter is beginning to take shape. Fresh turnstile canopies are being installed as part of a redesigned stadium campus, alongside a new pre-cast concrete lift shaft to improve accessibility for supporters.
Preparations for the new season are also continuing on the pitch, with the playing surface now seeded and covered by germination sheets designed to accelerate grass growth during the current spell of warm weather.
Supporters will also notice several cosmetic improvements, including updated stadium lettering, a new entrance to the club shop and foundation work in the main stand car park for temporary modular buildings, which are expected to support matchday operations during the redevelopment.
With just 46 days remaining until Bournemouth host Everton, work is continuing across several fronts as the club races to have everything ready for the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
FGG says: Plenty has already been achieved at the Vitality Stadium
At first glance, some supporters may wonder why the stadium doesn't look dramatically different, but much of the most important work has been happening beneath the surface.
Completing the foundations, piling, and infrastructure now is crucial if the more visible structural elements are to rise quickly over the coming months.
With less than 50 days until Everton's visit, Bournemouth appear to be making solid progress across the site.
While the redevelopment is far from finished, fans should expect the biggest visual transformation to come once the steelwork begins to emerge above ground later in the project.
