Sheffield Wednesday's North Stand is undergoing another major phase of refurbishment as work continues to bring Hillsborough Stadium back up to standard.
After structural repairs and drainage improvements, the focus will now turn to repainting the stand and restoring its famous blue appearance.
Hillsborough's North Stand continues to be upgraded
The North Stand required significant attention after years of deterioration, with Arise moving quickly after taking control of the club to ensure it could reopen.
Foxton Construction has completed structural weld repairs and remedial drainage work, while CAN has been carrying out maintenance on the famous cantilever roof, including the installation of around 76 new purlins across 19 bays.
The next phase will see the North Stand fully repainted in Sheffield Wednesday blue. Further improvements to the seating are also planned for the future, as per The Wednesday Word's Joe Crann.
CAN has used rope access and CAN-Span equipment to work beneath the roof, allowing several trades to operate simultaneously in a challenging live environment. Drainage sheeting beneath the roof is also being reinstated.
The work is expected to continue through October, with contractors having had to manage a rapidly changing scope while working to a tight schedule.

FGG says: Hillsborough's transformation is finally gathering momentum
There is still plenty of work to do at Hillsborough, but the scale of progress in recent months is encouraging after years of neglect.
The North Stand is particularly important because it is one of the most recognisable parts of the stadium, so restoring it properly rather than simply making it functional should make a noticeable difference to the overall appearance.
For Wednesday supporters, the return of the famous blue paint is a small but symbolic step in what remains a much larger stadium transformation.
