Watch: PAOK supporters go crazy at title party

It was a nervy encounter as PAOK, who were down to 10 men for a large portion of the game, held on to their 2-1 lead to secure their fourth-ever top-flight Greek league title.

The win capped off a brilliant season for the side, taking them to 80 points in the play-off section of the Greek season, during which they scored an astonishing 87 goals in just 36 games.

PAOK were competing against some very good sides, such as Olympiacos, who recently dumped Aston Villa out of the Conference League, as well as giants AEK Athens.

Their supporters were clearly over the moon with the triumph, and the title party put on by the club was truly sensational. A crowd of unfathomable size was present for the celebrations, and images of flares flashing lights and waving flags were rife throughout the stadium.

Fans react to PAOK triumph

Thousands of fans from across the continent gathered on social media to congratulate the club on their title win, with many highlighting just how impressive their success is.

One supporter took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: “Amazing time to be alive, live long enough to see my team win another championship! Thank you so much!! Tears of joy.”

While another added: “The team that fought, and chased with soul all their games, I'm not Paok, but I was happy that this time, the best got it from the beginning to the end… Well done Paok, Well done Lucescu.”
