Rayo Vallecano fans have protested against the club’s plans to move away from their current home, Vallecas Stadium.
Club president, Raul Martin Presa, believes that the ground isn’t big enough to fit the long-term ambitions of the club, which is to consistently play European football.
Real Madrid protest
In the game against Real Madrid on Sunday, February 18, the Rayo supporters held up signs encouraging the club to stay at the Vallecas.
Rayo Vallecano fans plan another protest
Plataforma ADRV announced on X, formerly Twitter, that they intend to form a “human chain” surrounding the Vallecas prior to their La Liga match against Cadiz.
The Rayo Vallecano fans will hope that the protest affects Presa’s decision to move away from the Vallecas, but he is yet to take a step back from his original proposals.
