Real Madrid have once again underlined their position as the financial powerhouse of world football after announcing record-breaking financial results, with the renovated Santiago Bernabeu continuing to transform the club's commercial fortunes.
The Spanish giants confirmed operating revenue of €1.221 billion (£1.05bn) for the 2025-26 financial year, the highest in the club's history and the first time any sports organisation has generated more than €1.2bn in recurring annual revenue.
The extraordinary figures highlight the growing impact of the redeveloped Bernabeu, which has become a year-round entertainment venue as well as one of football's most iconic stadiums.
Bernabeu redevelopment continues to transform Real Madrid's finances
The renovated Santiago Bernabeu has emerged as one of the biggest drivers behind Real Madrid's financial growth.
The club reported that stadium-related revenue increased by 11% during the last financial year, while commercial income rose by 6% thanks to new and renewed sponsorship agreements.
Since the 2018-19 season, overall revenue has increased by 61%, with stadium income alone more than doubling during that period.
Real Madrid also posted a record EBITDA of €287.4m (£247.2m), an 18% increase on the previous year, while recording a post-tax profit of €26.3m (£22.6m), extending the club's remarkable run to 26 consecutive profitable years.
The financial update also revealed that the Bernabeu redevelopment has now cost €1.407bn (£1.21bn), making it one of the most ambitious stadium projects in football history.

Strong financial position provides platform for future growth
Despite the enormous investment in the Bernabeu, Real Madrid remain in an enviable financial position.
The club ended the financial year with €624m (£536.6m) in net equity, cash reserves of €83m (£71.4m) and net debt of just €9m (£7.7m), excluding the stadium project. It also has access to €475m (£408.5m) in undrawn credit facilities, giving the European giants significant financial flexibility.
The results reinforce why Real Madrid continue to lead football's financial rankings, with the club already topping Deloitte's latest Football Money League thanks largely to the commercial opportunities created by the transformed Bernabeu.
As a member-owned institution, Real Madrid also reiterated that all profits are reinvested into infrastructure and sporting operations rather than distributed to shareholders, allowing continued investment in both the first-team squad and club facilities.
With the Bernabeu now fully operational as a multi-purpose entertainment venue hosting concerts, NFL games and other major events alongside football, the stadium is expected to remain the cornerstone of Real Madrid's commercial strategy for years to come.
FGG says: Bernabeu proving every penny was worth it
The Santiago Bernabeu redevelopment was always going to require enormous investment, but these financial results show why Real Madrid remained committed to the project. The reported revenue barrier is an extraordinary achievement, and the stadium has evolved into far more than a football ground.
By creating new revenue streams throughout the year, Real Madrid have strengthened their ability to compete with Europe's biggest clubs while setting a benchmark for future stadium developments across world football.
