Crystal Palace have taken a fresh step towards funding the long-awaited redevelopment of Selhurst Park by appointing Raine Group to explore a major investment.
The club are seeking investment at a valuation of around £900m, with any deal potentially helping Palace finally push ahead with their ambitious stadium plans.
Crystal Palace seek new investment to fund Selhurst Park expansion plans
As per The Athletic, Palace have hired Raine Group to handle the process, with the investment banking firm previously used to oversee the sale of John Textor’s 43% stake in the club to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.
The club are jointly owned by chairman Steve Parish, Johnson, Josh Harris and David Blitzer, and any external investment would likely contribute towards the redevelopment of Selhurst Park.
Palace have already secured approval for the stadium project, but meaningful construction work has taken longer than expected.
Parish recently admitted that finances had not yet been put in place, with money instead prioritised towards strengthening the squad.
The chairman also pointed to rising construction costs and inflation as further complications, with the club looking at different funding options and working with banks to find ways of reducing costs while ensuring the project delivers the required return.
The timing comes as Palace's profile continues to rise.
They won the FA Cup in 2025 before adding the Community Shield and UEFA Conference League, while their European success has earned them a place in this season's Europa League.
The £900m valuation is also ambitious. Palace generated just under £200m in revenue during 2024-25, which would traditionally suggest a valuation closer to £700m.

FGG says: Palace need investment to finally turn Selhurst Park plans into reality
Palace have reached an interesting point in their development.
The club are enjoying their most successful period in decades, but the stadium remains one of the clearest limitations on their long-term commercial potential.
Finding an investor could therefore provide the financial firepower needed to move the Selhurst Park redevelopment forward without compromising the club's ability to strengthen its squad.
The £900m valuation may prove ambitious, but if Palace can combine European success with a modernised stadium, the club could have considerably greater revenue potential in the years ahead.
