Rap superstar and Swansea City co-owner Snoop Dogg has fired up supporters with an enthusiastic message ahead of his first live visit to the Swansea.com Stadium later this month.

The American music icon, who invested in the club last summer alongside Luka Modric and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, has been watching the team from afar and says he cannot wait to experience the matchday atmosphere in person.

The 54-year-old will attend the Swans’ Championship clash with Preston North End on February 24, marking a milestone in his journey with the club.

Speaking to the club website, the rapper says he has “heard so many great things about the atmosphere, especially when we play under the lights” and is eager to be part of the vibrant support that has made the stadium a tough place for visiting teams.

“From the moment we talked about me becoming an owner, I have been looking forward to the chance to be with you all at the Swansea.com Stadium,” Snoop said, addressing the club’s fans.

Swansea officials confirmed that Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus, will appear pitchside before kick-off to help lead a pre-match fan display, and will spend time around the city and local community during his visit.

The rapper’s presence is expected to add extra excitement to the fixture and underscores the club’s growing profile under its high-profile investor group, which aims to blend global reach with the city’s proud footballing culture.

Growing profile and expectations around Swansea City

Snoop Dogg’s involvement has been considered a significant boost for Swansea’s global profile, with his huge international following and media influence helping the club attract attention beyond the Championship.

Since joining the ownership group in 2025, he has spoken openly about his desire to help take Swansea back to the Premier League and make the club a “global name”.

Snoop cited the club's blue-collar heritage as a major motivation for joining the boardroom. With the formalities complete, the new owner is keen to get his first taste of the action during an upcoming evening fixture at the Swansea.com Stadium.

While Swansea currently find themselves in the lower half of the Championship table, this visit could inject excitement into the supporters, and could offer belief that the club’s trajectory could change dramatically.

FGG Says

It is not every day that a music legend talks about a stadium atmosphere with genuine passion, and Snoop’s words speak straight to the heart of what supporters cherish, which is connection, energy and shared experience.

For Swansea fans, it is a reminder that ambition and community spirit can coexist, even at clubs outside the top flight. With such a big entertainment name associated, younger fans will have another reason to love the club.
